The History of Give Sværgods

Give Sværgods was founded in 1958 by Svend Aage Hansen. During the first years of the existence of the company, he transported lignite using a vehicle he had acquired used. The vehicle was soon replaced by larger vehicles and in 1965 the company had a fleet of two vehicles, and it began to transport gravel, sand and lime from its` own gravel pit for the road construction industry.

During the mid 80`s the company began to transport concrete panels for the building industry and in 1998 the first transportations for the wind energy sector were executed. Today, Give Sværgods is one of the largest haulage companies within this highly difficult and demanding field of the wind energy industry.

In recent years Give Sværgods has experienced an explosive development. The number of employees has increased to close to 200 employees currently.

During the same period the company also underwent a generational handover, and the management of the company has remained in the family.
