Give Svaergods just finished an exiting and innovative concept within  Wind Turbine Transportation with success.

For this project the wind turbine components were to be transported from Denmark to the westcoast of Norway. An innovative solution was chosen for this project. The components were loaded onto trailers and driven to Port of Esbjerg. Here the trailers were pulled on board a ferry suitable for the purpose, which sailed the components still on the trailers to Egernsund in Norway. Hereby it was possible to have all components for a turbine in one shipment. Upon arrival in Egernsund, waiting trucks were coupled to the trailers and the components transported the remaining distance to the Site by road.

This so called “Ro-Ro” Solution and was performed in cooperation with SeaCargo.
